David Charry is an LA-based cinematographer with years of experience working internationally.

David Charry was born in Bogotá, Colombia, and grew up in St. Paul, Minnesota. In 2009, he was awarded the Presidential Scholarship at Columbia College Chicago where he studied cinematography.

After graduating, David continued to work in Chicago on various shorts and independant features. In 2016, he received his MFA in cinematography at the prestigious American Film Institute Conservatory, where he studied under established cinematographers such as Claudio Miranda, Steve Yedlin, and Eric Steelberg.

David has had films screen at the Cannes International Film Festival, as well countless other film festivals around the world. In 2017, David's AFI thesis film, B'Gawk: A Chick Flick, was awarded Best International Short at the Oxford International Film Festival.

David is based in Los Angeles and shoots a wide range of projects, including narratives, commercials and music videos. David also enjoys playing guitar, as well as hiking.
